The snow creeps ever closer. Yesterday afternoon the temperature dropped sharply and throughout the night there were strong winds and steady rain. The bad weather has continued this morning but above approximately 500m snow has been falling.

The temperature in Hirafu has plummeted since yesterday afternoon. Last night the thermometer went down to -2 and this morning there was a dusting of snow almost to Hirafu Village.
