driving back from a little snowshoe trip at Moiwa the sunset was spectacular... i pulled over and walked into the woods a little to get his perspective... pity about the powerlines but hey never mind...

Climbing up Iwaonupuri the other day was a lot of fun, made even better by views like this and lovely weather. These lumpy formations stood out, such amazing terrain.

My wife and I went for a hike to the top of a small local mountain the other day (Iwaonupuri) and I made a few (actually lots) of shots, I especially liked this one. I'll post a couple more over the next few days.

there's lots of lens flare and strange colour casts in this shot, but i like it anyway... I've messed with the colours a little in lightroom.

A beautiful day today, so i took a drive out to my favourite spot for Mt. Yotei shots... today I included a stone (possibly quartz) statue in the forground to add a little Japan-esqueness to the shot... for anyone wondering if if's safe to visit Japan... YES it is and there has never been a threat here in Hokkaido... come visit us! Hokkaido has the best seafood, and wonderful nature.
